Welcome to ECOC 2011

Like every year, around 500 basic research scientists and R&D engineers presented to an international audience the results of current scientific work as well as major innovations in technologies related to optical communication.

ECOC 2011 supported an intense knowledge exchange within optical communication technologies such as new fibre-based components, modulation schemes for high speed transmission, 100 Gbps Ethernet and broadband access. Many specialits did not miss the opportunity to participate in this world-class scientific event and present their research, potentialities in innovation and technology.

They enjoyed the stay in Geneva.

Ursula Keller and René Salathé
