Lab Trial of PCE-based OSNR-aware Dynamic Restoration in Multi-domain GMPLS-enabled Translucent WSON

We experimentally present a lab trial of PCE-based OSNR-aware dynamic restoration in multi-domain GMPLS-enabled translucent WSON, assessing the overall feasibility and quantitatively evaluating the service disruption time and path computation latency during end-to-end lightpath restoration.

An advanced PCE architecture, exploiting novel PCEP extensions for flexible-grid optical networks, is proposed and experimentally validated with dynamic frequency slot assignment and format adaptation from DP-16QAM to DP-QPSK at 100Gb/s.

Dynamic Distributed Spectrum Allocation in GMPLS-controlled Elastic Optical Networks

We propose and experimentally evaluate a distributed spectrum assignment approach for GMPLS-controlled elastic networks based on collecting the frequency slot availability information during the signaling phase and performing efficient spectrum allocation at the destination node.
